3rd day of Canadian Phase : visited beautiful places with my host family

October 13th 2012
Finally, I ate my first Indomie. I really miss the taste of Asian noodle, oh gosh. So I ate Indomie for my breakfast, what an unhealthy lifestyle, eh?

Saturday morning, the best time to spend with your host family. Rob, (Robert MacDonald), my host father took Yen and I to Farmer’s Market, Halifax. The market was incredible! It was clean, convenience, and comfortable. Love it! I Imagine the market that I watched in every Disney’s fairy tale, it looks almost like that, the difference is the clothes that people wear, they did not wear any gown with laces or any eighteen’s century clothes. In Farmer’s market, we also met the other participants, Tika and Daphne and their host family, Faisal and Terry and Tom, their host father.

I bought those cute pens, for my half brothers and my lil cousins.

Before we went home, we stopped by the coast, near Point Pleasant Park, and took some pictures.

We went back home, and I had fried rice (I made it, but it doesnt taste good tho) and samosa for lunch.
That day, my host family brought us to a nice places, Apple’s Valley to pick apples and pumpkin for Halloween.

In the middle of picking pumpkin I was desperate to pee. The owner showed me the portable toilet, and I was shocked. Just imagine, I used the portable public toilet, for the first time. Oh well, of course I don’t have any picture for this horrible experience, lol.

We continued our trip to Look Off, the high point where people can see almost all reachable view of Nova Scotia. Sight seeing was fun.

Kingsport, Nova Scotia. It is the unique places when the ocean water could reach the edge of the beach in certain period of time, and then it shrink in other period of time. That’s one of my host father’s favorite place.

We went home, had dinner, and I wrote my journal. I did not go to the Nocturne Festival, the art festival, because I was too tired, and that night was cold. Some of my friend went to Nocturne Festival, they also took great pictures. Well, just remember, even you are in the same group and in the same community, doesnt mean that you will have the same experiences!

Xoxo Haligonians.
