A year ago, I was in the line to have the breakfast in the kitchen of Tatamagouche centre, and the most delicious Canadian food that I had that time was the lemon muffin. So good. Too good. I remember I heard Yeniffer who sat at the table next to me, said, "The muffin's good". Wow, even the Canadian think that the muffin was good, so I was optimist that I will fit to any Canadian food (except pork and alcohol).
I said good morning to the Canadian that I met, all morning, just trying to socialize and remember all the participants name. In the end of the day, I remembered all their names.
We had another sessions in Stewart Hall, as a small group and as a bigger group in the kitchen. We also had a sexual harassment session with Francois Tardif.
For lunch, the cooking team made us some rice and adopted Asian food, which is still far far away from the taste of Asia, but I really appreciate the effort to make us feel like we're home or at least close to our homeland. Here it is..
Then some of the Indonesian had an idea to cook Indonesian food for the Canadian participant for the supper.
That afternoon I explored Tatamagouche with Inta and Suke, took some pictures,
and went back to the kitchen in the evening, because our COUNTERPART is going to be revealed! Earlier in the previous day, we were given a form, to write which one of the Canadian participant is the fittest to be our counterpart. I did not wrote anything, I mean, how can I judge a person when you only know them for about two days, so I wrote : anybody can be my counterpart, I am open to accept anyone. Then, this is how we connected.
Hey! There she is, my Counterpart!
The Halifax - Depok Girls
The Halifax-Depok Team
We took a lot of picture, playing ninja, getting to know each other as much as we can, and then we went back to our houses. I remember that Doris and I walked Dea (participant from Jambi, Indonesia) and her counterpart, Sophie home. After that we went back home and had hot ginger beverage with Dima, and go to sleep. What a day!
