October 26th 2012
I woke up that morning and I realized
this is the first Eid Mubarak that I do not celebrate with my family, and I was
too far away from home. It was early in the morning, and I was getting ready to
go to exhibition park, to pray Eid. I wore my Batik Besurek skirt and a long
black shirt. My host mum said that my outfit looks like a maxi dress. After I
had a glass of milk, I went outside and there Brad’s car. In his car, even more
surprising, there are Wilma, Dhila, Faisal and Dima. One question, where am I
gonna sit? Is there any seat or space left? Then Brad smiled and gave his
jazzed hand, “Taraa! Get into the car!”.
We heading out to Mumford Terminal to
wait for the bus and the other participant to go to the Exhibition park. As
usual, we took picture everywhere.
Even in the bus.
Outside the Exhibition Park
And inside the exhibition park.
Ichal and Malaysian students
After we prayed, we explore exhibition
park and we tried some cakes, and tried some henna making.
We went back to our EAD space. Having
some chit chat with another participant, and heading out to Francois House to
cook for our feast.
Team works guys. You cook, I’ll clean
the dishes, for now, let’s sing together.
This is it! The feast!
